We are proud to announce the new feminized strain: Velatello! An exclusive creation from Aficionado French Connection, part of the innovative 2020 Feminized Line. Velatello is a short to medium-sized, balanced hybrid plant with excellent resistance to disease. Its buds display a stunning range of colors, from deep purple to bright green hues, adorned with vibrant orange pistil hairs and coated in a thick layer of white, frosty trichomes. This top-shelf genetic, available exclusively in feminized form, is the result of crossing two iconic strains: Velato and Sorbetto. Sorbetto (Sunset Sherbet x Zkittlez x F10 Magnum Opus) is an award-winning strain that has claimed cannabis cups in four countries across two continents. Renowned for its abundant trichome production and candy-like terpene profile from its Zkittlez lineage, Sorbetto also exhibits a subtle blend of exotic fruit and candy aromas. This fourth-generation, highly specialized cut, known as Sorbetto #101, was chosen as the pollen donor for the creation of Velatello. The pollen receiver, Velato, was selected for its resilience and exceptional terpene profile expressed during growth. This particular phenotype was retained for its Gelato-dominant characteristics, which are prominently reflected in the Velatello strain. Its flavor profile includes notes of sweet fruit, lavender, berries, and earthy undertones. Velatello’s aroma is a blend of its parent strains, exuding a sweet and fruity scent with hints of lavender, berries, and earthiness. On the palate, it begins with fruity ice cream notes, which evolve into exuberant layers of candy and lavender, contrasting with a refined and mature earthy finish. The effect is a narcotic high that delivers a pronounced full-body relaxation. This strain produces medium-height plants with dense, trichome-covered flowers that are rich in terpenes and cannabinoids, making Velatello ideal for both flower consumption and extraction production. Indoor cultivation requires approximately 9 weeks of flowering for full maturation. Outdoor growers can expect the plants to reach their peak cannabinoid levels by late September to early October, just in time to avoid seasonal rains.
